Harvest Bend Classic Car Show Draws Steady Crowds, Friendly Competition and Community Connection
Harvest Bend residents spent May 16 surrounded by polished classics, roaring engines and a steady stream of neighbors as the Harvest Bend Classic Car Show brought the community together for an afternoon that organizers described as a major success.
With a constant flow of visitors throughout the event, residents gathered to admire restored vehicles, cast votes, enjoy local food and connect with neighbors in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. What began as a neighborhood showcase quickly became one of the community’s standout spring gatherings, blending automotive history with the kind of local connection that continues to define life in Harvest Bend.
The event featured a variety of classic and collector vehicles, with community voting helping determine this year’s contest winners.
The 2026 Harvest Bend Classic Car Show winners included:
- 1st Place: 1937 Packard 115C, owned by Johnny Scott and driven during the event by Earl Mote
- 2nd Place: 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo, owned by Warren Notschaele
- 3rd Place: 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, owned by Glenn Edgecomb
Each vehicle reflected years of care, restoration and personal passion, giving residents an opportunity to experience automotive craftsmanship up close while learning more about the stories behind the cars and their owners.
Beyond the competition itself, much of the event’s success came from the welcoming atmosphere created throughout the afternoon. Residents lingered beneath sunny skies, visited with neighbors and enjoyed food from Mama Burgos Food Truck, which received praise from attendees for helping make the gathering feel even more festive and community-centered.
Neighborhood events like the Harvest Bend Classic Car Show continue to play an important role in bringing residents together outside of daily routines. Whether attendees came for the cars, the food or simply the chance to spend time with neighbors, the event created another shared memory for the community and reinforced the value of local gatherings close to home.
As Harvest Bend continues building a strong calendar of neighborhood activities throughout the year, events like this help strengthen connections between residents while creating traditions families look forward to attending together.
