Harris County Precinct 4 Brings Shakespeare to Residents
In partnership with a local theatre company, Harris County Precinct 4 is bringing Shakespeare to residents with six performances of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at various parks and community centers within HCP4.
This production marks the 10th anniversary for the featured theatre company, Shakespeare in the Shade (SITS), which gives audiences an opportunity to experience Shakespeare performed by local actors in a fast, fun, and free format. In addition to being SITS's 10th anniversary, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" was their inaugural show.
The community is invited to join SITS to experience this story of order and disorder, reality and dream worlds, fairies and humans, and love and marriage. The first four performances of this production will be held outdoors at Bear Creek Pioneer Park, while the last three will be performed at Tracy Gee and Weekley Community Centers.
