Harris County Pets to Host Clear the Shelters Adoption Drive
In an effort to find forever homes for homeless animals, Harris County Pets (HCP) is excited to announce its participation in the annual Clear the Shelters pet adoption drive from August 18 to 20. All adoptable animals at HCP will be available for free to loving families and individuals during this special event.
Clear the Shelters is a nationwide initiative to promote pet adoption and reduce the number of animals in shelters. HCP has been a proud participant in this event for several years, and its commitment to finding homeless animals loving homes has significantly impacted the community.
Thousands of homeless animals find themselves in shelters every year, seeking a second chance at a happy life. Clear the Shelters offers a unique opportunity for families and individuals to open their hearts and homes to these animals, providing them with the love, care, and attention they deserve.
"At Harris County Pets, we are dedicated to improving the lives of homeless animals," said Corey Steele, Harris County Veterinary Public Health Director. "Clear the Shelters allows us to showcase the wonderful animals in our care and connect them with compassionate families ready to provide them with a forever home."
All adopted animals at HCP are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, are microchipped, and are eligible for a one-year Harris County pet license. HCP's thorough approach to pet care guarantees that every adopted animal is equipped for a healthy and joyful life with their new family.
