Harris County ESD No. 16 Klein Fire Department Hiring Multiple Positions
The Harris County ESD No. 16 Klein Fire Department is currently hiring several full-time positions, including firefighters, driver/operators, captains and district chief to join their team of brave public servants.
Klein Fire Department is located within Harris County Emergency Services District (ESD) 16, which includes 52 square miles that mostly sits within the southeastern quadrant of the Grand Parkway and Highway 249.
Station 1 was created in 1951 as a volunteer department and has since become the operational agency for the ESD. The department has expanded to eight stations, a new administrative building that opened in November of this year, a training facility, 30 pieces of equipment. The department has approximately 200 personnel, which includes certified First Responders, EMTs, Paramedics, and administrative staff.
According to the Department, benefits include comprehensive health benefits, 100% employer paid short-term and long-term disability and life insurance, TCDRS retirement, pay personal time off starting at 144 hours, and holiday pay.
Applications for open positions are due in January 12, 2024, with PAT testing scheduled for January 22-24. Qualified applicants will be notified with an invitation to interview by January 26, and interviews will take place during the week of January 29.
