Grand Lakes 4th Annual Litter Pickup
The Green Committee will host our fourth annual spring litter pickup service project on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 9-11 AM in concert with Keep Texas Beautiful and the Great American Cleanup. Volunteers may pick up supplies/drop off collected litter any time during this window. We hope to see you there!
Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest community improvement program, taking place annually each spring. Keep Texas Beautiful is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
Throughout Grand Lakes, litter is concentrated along the main roads and around retail centers. The project will pick up litter along Peek and Fry (in the medians, along the curb, and litter caught in landscaping), as far as GL extends and INSIDE the GL fenced, landscaped and wooded areas along 99. Volunteers will be given a safety briefing, trash disposal instructions and trash bags + plastic gloves. Safety vests will also be provided.
Thank you to the students, girl and boy scouts, and residents who have volunteered for this initiative! Please keep an eye out for us that morning and drive carefully.
