Tips for a Successful Garage Sale

Declutter Ahead of Time: Start by going through your belongings. Set aside items you no longer need or use. This not only helps clear space in your home but also gives others a chance to find new treasures.

Organize Your Items: Group similar items together—clothing, kitchenware, toys, etc. This makes it easier for shoppers to find what they’re looking for and helps you stay organized.

Make Your Merchandise Sparkle: Wipe down items that have accumulated dust, scrub scuffs and consider washing any items that need it. Attractive, clean merchandise will have a better chance of catching your buyers' attention!

Price Everything: Use stickers or tags to clearly mark prices. Be open to negotiations, but having set prices can streamline the selling process.

Advertise Your Participation: Once you register your address at this link (the last day to register is October 1st), spread the word! Prepare for the Day: On the morning of the sale, set up early and have plenty of change on hand. Keep your cash in a safe, secure place and never leave it unattended. Consider Donations: After the sale, if you have items left over, the Fort Bend Women’s Center will be on-site the following day, Sunday, October 6th, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM in the CCR Welcome Center Parking Lot at 6450 Cross Creek Bend Ln, Fulshear, TX 77441 to accept donations. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community!
