Fulshear Sisters Launch Faith-Inspired Online Boutique 'Joyful Is She' for Women’s Fashion
In November 2024, Kennedy and Madison Manthei, sisters and Fulshear residents, turned their dream into reality by launching Joyful Is She, an online boutique that brings trendy yet timeless women’s fashion to customers in Texas and beyond. Rooted in their Christian faith and guided by Proverbs 31:25, the sisters have created a brand that blends stylish clothing with heartfelt values.
“We wanted to offer something meaningful, not just fashionable,” said Kennedy Manthei, co-owner and Texas A&M University graduate. “Launching Joyful Is She has been a dream of mine for a long time, and it’s incredible to finally see it come to life.”

Fashion Meets Faith
Joyful Is She’s carefully curated collections include a wide range of women’s apparel and accessories. From elegant dresses like the Annabel Red Maxi Dress to versatile staples like the Adaline Pleated Set and the Elle Skort, the boutique offers stylish pieces designed for every occasion.
The accessory line adds an extra layer of charm, featuring items such as the Avery iPad Case, Avery Computer Case, and the popular Paisley Puffer Bag, a chic option adorned with pink stripes and bows. “Our mission is to provide high-quality, fashion-forward pieces that women feel confident in,” said Madison Manthei, a nurse and fellow Texas A&M graduate. “We want our customers to see themselves reflected in every piece we offer.”
Community-Driven and Family-Owned
As Obra D. Tompkins High School alumnae and proud members of the Fulshear community, the Manthei sisters are passionate about supporting their hometown. Their boutique has already gained traction locally through pop-up events at venues like No Label Brewing Co. and KTX Market.

The boutique’s name and mission were inspired by their faith, emphasizing strength, dignity, and joy. “Proverbs 31:25 really resonates with us and serves as the foundation of our business,” said Madison.
Growing Through Social Media
The sisters are working to expand Joyful Is She’s reach, focusing on Instagram and TikTok (@shopjoyfulisshe). To engage with their growing audience, they are hosting a giveaway for followers who tag friends and share their posts. “We’re just a few followers away from our next milestone, and this giveaway is a fun way to thank our supporters,” said Kennedy.
