Understanding Jugging

Law enforcement agencies report a significant increase in these crimes, with multiple recent cases occurring in Fulshear and surrounding cities. How Fulshear Residents Can Protect Themselves

The Fulshear Police Department urges residents to remain vigilant and take proactive steps to prevent becoming a victim of jugging. Here are some recommended safety measures:

  • Be aware of your surroundings: Always scan the area for any suspicious individuals or vehicles when leaving a bank or ATM.

  • Avoid distractions: Do not check your phone or become preoccupied while walking to your vehicle.

  • Secure your cash: Never leave money visible inside your car, and avoid making stops before reaching your final destination.

  • Change your routine: If you frequently visit the same financial institution, vary your route and timing to avoid patterns that criminals can exploit.
