FREE Performance of Barber of Seville at Miller Outdoor Theater

April 26 2022

Opera’s most beloved comic masterpiece gets a bilingual retelling in Kristine McIntyre’s adaptation of Rossini’s classic work.

Now set on a ranch in the Lone Star State, The Barber of Seville in Texas shares the story of two star-crossed lovers facing a language barrier: Rosina only speaks Spanish, while Almaviva only knows English.

Enter opera’s most famous barber, the bilingual Figaro! Sung alternately in English and Spanish, this opera is directed by frequent HGO collaborator Cecilia Duarte.
