Free Mobile Dental Services Coming to Fairbanks Branch Library Near Harvest Bend Section 1 on June 8
Access to affordable healthcare can make a significant difference for families, especially during the summer months when school-based health resources may be less available. Residents of Harvest Bend Section 1 will soon have an opportunity to receive free dental care close to home when Harris County Public Health's Mobile Dental Services program visits the Fairbanks Branch Library on Monday, June 8.
The mobile clinic will be stationed at the Fairbanks Branch Library, located at7122 Gessner Rd, Houston, TX 77040, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Services are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointment is required.
Free Dental Exams, X-Rays and Cleanings
The Mobile Dental Services program helps connect eligible residents with essential preventive dental care, including:
- Dental exams
- Dental X-rays
- Professional dental cleanings
These services are offered at no cost for those who qualify, helping individuals and families address routine oral health needs without the expense of a traditional dental office visit.
For many residents, preventive dental care can play an important role in overall health by helping identify issues early and reducing the risk of more serious dental problems in the future.
What Residents Should Know Before Visiting
Walk-ins are welcome throughout the day, although attendees are encouraged to arrive early due to limited capacity and demand.
Visitors should bring:
- A photo ID
- Vaccine records if applicable
The mobile clinic will close daily from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch.
Because schedules and service availability can occasionally change due to weather or operational needs, residents may want to check for updates before heading to the site.
