Fort Bend Youth Invited to Discover Their Superpower at 2025 Annual Youth Summit
Fort Bend County students ages 12 and up are invited to channel their inner heroes at the Annual Youth Summit: What’s Your Superpower? on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy, located at 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle, Richmond, TX 77469. This free, interactive summit—presented by the Juvenile Justice Advisory Council (JJAC) in partnership with the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office—promises a day of connection, empowerment, and education for local youth.
Created to uplift and guide young people, the summit aims to foster smart decision-making and personal growth through a dynamic schedule of breakout sessions, panels, and group activities. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided, and pre-registration is required at this link.
Key topics include mental health, violence prevention, and making safe choices—issues that are increasingly important to students navigating modern challenges. But it’s not all lectures and lessons: the event also celebrates the idea that every young person has a “superpower” within—whether it’s resilience, leadership, creativity, or compassion.
The summit will feature real-life heroes in law enforcement who will share personal stories and offer practical advice, encouraging students to find their strengths and stand confidently in who they are.

“The goal of this event is to uplift and educate our youth so they’re equipped to make positive life choices,” said a representative from the Juvenile Justice Advisory Council. “By showing them real-world examples and giving them the tools they need, we help set them up for success in their schools, families, and communities.”
The Juvenile Justice Advisory Council plays an important role in Fort Bend County by working to prevent juvenile delinquency and build stronger connections between youth and community support systems. The JJAC collaborates with schools, law enforcement, service providers, and families to address issues like behavioral health, school discipline, and youth development, with a strong emphasis on early intervention and support.
For parents, educators, and youth advocates, the Youth Summit offers a meaningful way to get teens engaged in conversations that matter. It’s also a valuable community-building opportunity where students can connect with peers and mentors in a safe, welcoming environment.
