The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce, "An Afternoon of Romance," a musical journey that promises to captivate hearts and souls. This enchanting concert is scheduled for Sunday, February 18th, at 2:00 PM, at the Stafford Centre.

The program boasts a selection of timeless and romantically infused masterpieces, carefully curated to create an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts. Highlights of the performance include Tchaikovsky's iconic "Romeo and Juliette Fantasy Overture," Brahms' powerful "Tragic Overture," and Howard Hanson's lush Symphony No. 2, the "Romantic."

Adding to the allure of the evening, the repertoire will feature Elgar's soul-stirring "Salut d'amour" and the Intermezzo of Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana." The concert will also showcase the exceptional talent of Harrison Yu, a junior at Cypress Woods High School, as he takes the stage to perform the first movement of Rachmaninoff's monumental Piano Concerto No. 1.

"This concert is a celebration of love and passion through the language of music. The carefully curated pieces promise to transport the audience into the realms of romance and emotion," said Dominique Royem, Music Director and Conductor, expressing excitement about the upcoming event.
