Fort Bend County to Host Special Passport Fair Ahead of Holiday Travel
In a move aimed at simplifying the passport application process ahead of the holiday travel season, Beverley McGrew Walker, the District Clerk for Fort Bend County, is organizing a special Passport Fair. This event, which is part of Walker's commitment to community service, is set to happen on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, and promises to make it easier and more convenient for locals to get their U.S. passports.
The Passport Fair is to take place at the Missouri City Community Center, located at 1522 Missouri City Drive, Missouri City, TX, 77489, and will run from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. This location is conveniently positioned off of Texas Parkway, making it easy for Fort Bend County residents to drop by and get their passports sorted before the holiday rush.
Those interested in attending the fair to apply for their passports should note that appointments are currently being accepted, and these appointments can be made by visiting the Fort Bend County District Clerk's website at fbctx.gov/passports. Walk-ins are also welcome, although their acceptance will be limited until 11:00 am.

To streamline the process and ensure that all applicants are prepared, the District Clerk's office has an informative passport brochure available on their website. This brochure details both the cost and requirements for a passport application, which is crucial to review before attending the Passport Fair.
It's important to remember that all applicants, even minors, must appear in person at the time of application. Minors under the age of 16 are required to be accompanied by both parents. If one parent is unavailable, a DS-3053 form or a duly notarized authorization letter from the absent parent, coupled with a copy of their ID, would suffice.
For those unable to attend this fair, or anyone interested in future passport fairs and updates, they can follow the Fort Bend County District Clerk's office on social media.
