Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office to Host Career Expo on May 11
On Saturday, May 11, 2024, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office (FBCSO) will host a Career Expo at the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy, located at 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle in Richmond. From 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, attendees will have the opportunity to explore exciting opportunities within the FBCSO. The department is currently hiring for vital positions such as 9-1-1 Dispatchers, Detention Officers, and Patrol Deputies.
Founded in 1837, the FBCSO is the largest law enforcement agency in Fort Bend County — the most diverse county in Texas. It has over 800 employees, which includes 565 sworn peace officers and 25 reserve deputies. The FBCSO is dedicated to protecting and serving nearly 900,000 Fort Bend County residents, spread across 21 unincorporated communities and 16 incorporated municipalities.
At the Expo, attendees can meet representatives from Patrol, Detention, and Telecommunications divisions, with an opportunity to ask questions and gain insights into these varied careers in law enforcement. Attendees can also tour the Telecommunication Call Center and limited areas of the Detention Center.
In addition to these experiences, attendees will witness impressive displays including drones, the SWAT Bearkcat, and more. To assist those ready to initiate their career in law enforcement, FBCSO Human Resources will be onsite to guide you through the hiring process.
Interested attendees can pre-register for the event now or simple walk-in on the day of the event.
