The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for its Citizens Police Academy fall semester. The 11-week program is now open for online registration until 5 p.m., August 21, 2024. The academy is set to begin on August 29, 2024, and conclude on November 7, 2024.

A limit of 35 participants will be accepted into the program, which will be conducted at the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy, conveniently located at 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle in Richmond, directly across from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center. The Citizens Police Academy is ideal for curious community members interested in gaining insight into the law enforcement process, as well as individuals contemplating a career in this field.
