Fort Bend County Continues Full Passport Services Amid Federal Closures, District Clerk Confirms
As questions mount amid ongoing federal government shutdown concerns, Fort Bend County District Clerk Beverley McGrew Walker is assuring local residents that all passport services provided by the Fort Bend County District Clerk’s Office remain fully operational.
Residents in need of new passports or renewals can continue to rely on the county’s two passport office locations — one at the Justice Center in Richmond (1422 Eugene Heimann Circle) and the other at the Sienna Annex in Missouri City (5855 Sienna Springs Way). Office hours for both sites are from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., with appointments strongly encouraged. Walk-ins are welcome but will be accommodated only between scheduled appointments, depending on availability.
The announcement comes in response to a growing number of inquiries about whether the federal shutdown might impact local passport services. “Certified passport agents will accept both new and renewal passport applications on form DS-11 at the fair and at our offices,” Walker shared, emphasizing the county's continued ability to support residents' travel documentation needs.
