First Watch is Officially Bringing Fresh, Made-to-Order Brunch to Elyson Town Center Near Cypress
The highly anticipated expansion of Elyson Town Center continues to take shape, and now one of the nation’s favorite daytime cafés—First Watch—is officially confirmed to be joining the lineup. Known for its fresh, made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch offerings, First Watch will be opening a new location at 7010 Elyson Exchange Way, further elevating the dining scene in Katy near Cypress.
Although the excitement is building, locals will have to wait patiently for First Watch to open in Cypress. According to state filings, construction on the 4,946-square-foot space is expected to begin in mid-October 2025, with completion scheduled for early February 2026.
A Brunch Favorite with National Roots
First Watch was founded in 1983 in Pacific Grove, California, and has grown into one of the most popular brunch-focused restaurant chains in the United States. Headquartered in Bradenton, Florida, the brand operates more than 470 locations nationwide, offering a chef-driven menu that focuses on fresh ingredients, seasonal produce, and healthier daytime fare.
Unlike traditional diners or 24-hour chains, First Watch operates on a "You First" culture, serving guests exclusively during breakfast and lunch hours. This allows the brand to put all its energy into thoughtfully prepared meals made fresh each morning—from scratch.

Continued Growth in Cypress and the Greater Houston Area
First Watch has seen consistent growth in the Greater Houston area, with multiple locations already established in neighborhoods like The Heights, Katy, Pearland, Sugar Land, Tomball, and Spring. A Perfect Match for Elyson’s Vision
The arrival of First Watch reflects the ongoing evolution of Elyson Town Center, a 190,000-square-foot retail hub developed by Realty 1 Partners at the northwest corner of Grand Parkway and FM 529. As part of the 3,600-acre Elyson master-planned community, the Town Center is quickly becoming a lifestyle destination offering walkable access to restaurants, shops, and professional services.
