A major financial institution rooted in the Houston region is planting deeper roots in one of the city’s fastest-growing corridors.

First Community Credit Union (FCCU) announced the purchase of the former Noble Energy Center Two office tower in Northwest Houston, a move that signals long-term investment in the community and continued growth across the Greater Houston area. The transaction closed February 27, 2026, marking a significant milestone for the credit union as it prepares to establish its future corporate headquarters in the Vintage Park and Tomball area.

Located at 1002 Noble Energy Way in Houston, the 20-story Class A office building will eventually become the operational hub for FCCU as it continues serving more than 180,000 members across Texas.

For residents and businesses in Northwest Houston, the acquisition highlights continued economic momentum in the Vintage Park/Tomball business corridor, an area experiencing steady population growth, new development, and increased corporate investment.

A Strategic Investment in Northwest Houston’s Growth

The newly acquired building sits in the heart of one of Houston’s most active growth areas. Positioned near major residential communities and commercial developments, the headquarters will place FCCU closer to the expanding populations it serves throughout the region.

According to FCCU President and CEO TJ Tijerina, the purchase reflects the organization’s long-term vision for both growth and community service.

“This investment in a world class facility positions First Community Credit Union for decades of innovation, growth, and exceptional service,” said Tijerina. “As Northwest Houston continues to thrive, our new headquarters will allow us to grow right alongside it, supporting our members, strengthening our workforce, and elevating the experience we deliver every single day. I can't wait to see the FCCU star shining on this building.”

The headquarters is expected to support FCCU’s expanding operations as the credit union continues growing its membership throughout Houston, Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and surrounding Texas communities.

A Modern Office Tower Designed for Expansion

The office tower itself is a significant property within the Northwest Houston commercial market.

Constructed in 2015, the building rises 20 stories and contains approximately 470,623 rentable square feet of office space. The property sits on 4.74 acres and is known for its modern systems, sophisticated architecture, and premium Class A interior finishes.

FCCU plans a phased transition, initially occupying up to 50 percent of the building while designing a headquarters environment that reflects the organization’s culture and service-focused mission. The remaining space will be made available for lease to third-party tenants.

The transaction involved several commercial real estate professionals, including Larry Cedillo of Cross Capital Realty, who represented FCCU as the buyer. The property was marketed by JLL Capital Markets brokers Jeff Hollinden, Kevin McConn, and Max Myers.

Supporting Members Across Texas

The move also represents the next chapter for a credit union with deep Texas roots.

Founded in 1954 by Spring Branch ISD, First Community Credit Union began as a small cooperative focused on serving educators and their families. Over the decades, the institution has expanded significantly while maintaining its member-focused structure.

Today, FCCU manages $2.9 billion in assets and operates 14 full-service branches, offering a wide range of financial services designed to help members reach their financial goals.

Membership remains accessible to a broad community. Individuals can join FCCU if they live, work, attend school, worship, or belong to a Select Employee Group in any of the 41 Texas counties the credit union serves—including major metro regions such as Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio. Family members and relatives of current members or employees are also eligible.

As a federally insured credit union regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), FCCU operates with a mission centered on empowering members through financial education, lending services, and community-focused banking.

What the New Headquarters Means for the Community

For Northwest Houston residents and business leaders, the new headquarters represents more than a corporate relocation. Large office investments often bring increased economic activity, workforce opportunities, and long-term stability to surrounding areas.

The headquarters will provide expanded workspace for FCCU employees while creating room for collaboration, workforce development, and enhanced service capabilities for members throughout the region.

The move also aligns with broader trends in Houston economic development, where companies continue investing in strategic locations near growing suburban populations such as Tomball, Cypress, Klein, and Spring.

As FCCU begins planning its transition into the building, the project signals confidence in Northwest Houston’s future as both a residential and business hub.
