First America Homes Climbs to No. 75 on National Builder 100 List as Texas Expansion Accelerates

As Texas communities continue to experience rapid population growth and rising demand for attainable housing, one of the state’s fastest-growing homebuilders is earning national recognition for its expanding footprint and long-term investment in master-planned development.

First America Homes, a division of The Signorelli Company headquartered in The Woodlands, announced this week that it has risen to No. 75 on the 2026 Builder 100 list, moving up from the No. 100 position just one year earlier. The annual ranking, compiled by Zonda and Builder Magazine, recognizes the 100 largest homebuilders in the United States based on home closings and revenue.

The jump reflects significant momentum for the Texas-based builder, which reported building and selling 750 homes in 2025 — a 39% increase from 540 homes in 2024. Since launching in 2010, the company has delivered more than 4,450 homes throughout Texas and now projects annual production of 5,000 homes by 2035.

For communities across the Houston region, Montgomery County, San Antonio and emerging North Texas markets, the ranking represents more than a corporate achievement. It signals continued residential investment at a time when many families are searching for affordability, accessibility and long-term community infrastructure in one of the nation’s most competitive housing markets.

Growth Reflects Demand Across Texas Communities

The company’s rise comes amid continued expansion into some of Texas’ fastest-growing areas, including Houston, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin. First America Homes currently operates 30 active communities, with an additional 15 planned as the company enters new markets.

“This recognition reflects the strength of our team and the trust families place in us every day,” said Danny Signorelli, founder of First America Homes and CEO of The Signorelli Company. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together, not just in terms of growth, but in the lives we impact through homeownership. Being named among the nation’s top builders reinforces our commitment to delivering quality, care and long-term value in every community we create. That responsibility drives everything we do. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and even more excited about what’s ahead.”

The recognition also arrives as the company expands its role within large-scale master-planned communities — a development model increasingly shaping suburban growth across Texas.

One of the most significant recent announcements involves the Azalea District, a new 328-acre mixed-use health and wellness destination planned within the broader 1,400-acre Valley Ranch community in New Caney. First America Homes was recently selected as the exclusive homebuilder for the residential component of the project.

Located near Interstate 69 and the Grand Parkway in northeast Montgomery County, Valley Ranch has become one of the region’s most active mixed-use developments, featuring retail, office, dining, entertainment and residential space. The broader community already includes more than 2,000 single-family homes and approximately 1,000 multifamily residences.

Within the Azalea District, First America Homes plans to develop 359 single-family homes across 203 acres. The first phase will include 156 homesites, with initial deliveries expected in summer 2026.

For residents and prospective homebuyers in Montgomery County, projects like Valley Ranch reflect a broader trend reshaping suburban Texas: communities designed not only around housing, but around walkability, healthcare access, entertainment, retail and long-term quality of life.

A Builder Backed by Integrated Development Experience

First America Homes’ growth has been closely tied to The Signorelli Company’s vertically integrated development platform. Founded in 1994, The Signorelli Company has grown into one of the largest privately held real estate development firms in Texas, overseeing projects that span land development, master-planned communities, multifamily housing, retail, office and mixed-use destinations.

That structure allows the company to coordinate everything from land acquisition and infrastructure planning to residential construction and commercial development — an increasingly valuable advantage in fast-growing markets where timing, infrastructure and housing demand are closely linked.

The company says its approach has helped streamline community development while maintaining a focus on affordability and customer experience.

“Our growth reflects First America Homes’ ability to navigate evolving market conditions without sacrificing quality or style and staying focused on the needs of today’s homebuyers,” said John Winniford, president of First America Homes. “It’s exciting to see our progress reflected on a respected list like the Builder 100.”

In addition to its Builder 100 recognition, First America Homes was also ranked No. 64 on Home Builder Executive’s 2025 list of the top 100 private homebuilders in the United States.

The builder has emphasized customer service as part of its long-term strategy, offering a two-year home warranty and promoting personalized support throughout the homebuying process.

Why the Recognition Matters for Texas Homebuyers

The ranking highlights the continued strength of Texas’ housing market despite broader national affordability concerns and fluctuating economic conditions.

For many families, especially first-time homebuyers, the expansion of large-scale builders into suburban growth corridors can influence everything from home availability and pricing to school enrollment trends, transportation planning and future commercial investment.

In regions like Montgomery County and the Greater Houston area, where population growth continues to outpace much of the country, master-planned communities remain central to how local governments and developers address housing demand while creating long-term economic activity.

As First America Homes continues expanding into new Texas markets, the company’s national rise may also reflect a larger shift underway in the state’s residential landscape — one increasingly centered on integrated communities designed to support both rapid growth and long-term livability.
