On August 22nd, Lone Star College-CyFair (LSC-CyFair) will present a sneak peek of their upcoming arts season, offering a rich and diverse range of visual and performing arts events. This unique preview, held at the Center for the Arts, will provide community members a glimpse into the creativity set to unfold in the forthcoming year.
Art enthusiasts and curious minds alike are extended a warm welcome to join the "Raise the Curtain" season opener at 6 p.m. Attendees will be enthralled by performances by nationally-recognized faculty from the Music and Drama Departments, along with intriguing artist talks by the Art Department faculty.
This event not only showcases the preparation, skills, and creativity of the college's students, faculty, staff and guest artists but also serves as a community hub for cultural and family entertainment. The Center for the Arts at LSC-CyFair goes beyond mere amusement; it allows patrons to experience the arts in their local community, contributing to their overall well-being and fostering the development of young performers.

The Fine Arts Coordinator at LSC-CyFair, Joshua Estrada, underlined the harmonious relationship between the performers and spectators. "Our students deserve an audience, and our audience deserves to see the incredible talent at LSC-CyFair," he stated. Encouraging continued support for the arts, Estrada invites the public to hear about the benefits of becoming a patron of the arts during the season preview.
As an additional perk, the Center for the Arts will also host a free monthly Fine Arts Showcase, on the last Friday of the month, starting from September 27. This will enable community members to indulge in and appreciate an afternoon filled with drama, music, art and creative writing, performed by the incredibly talented students.
By attending and supporting these events, patrons not only get to savour the arts close to home but also contribute to the education and artistic journey of the young performers. It's not just about enjoyment; it's about nurturing the future artists and reinforcing the value of arts in society.
