The Center for the Arts fall season kicks off with the comedy “She Stoops to Conquer” on stage Oct. 12-Oct. 21 followed with the LSC-CyFair Choir’s “Let the River Run” concert Oct. 20.
“Whether you're an ardent admirer of the Bridgerton series or simply looking for an evening of romance and revelry experienced in Regency-era entertainment, you can step into a world of high society, where laughter, love, and charm abound in a glamorous and enchanting adaptation of Oliver Goldsmith’s beloved classic ‘She Stoops to Conquer,’” said Joshua Estrada, LSC-CyFair Fine Arts Coordinator.
This comedy runs Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre.
Next on the schedule is LSC-CyFair’s choral performance “Let the River Run” at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Stage Theatre.
Join Dr. Paulo Gomes, Director of Vocal Division and Choral Activities, to jump into the river of positive healing sounds with the LSC-CyFair Chamber Singers and Concert Choir.
“Like a running river, music allows us to be dreamers from all corners of the globe and create a new place where we can pursue our yearning desires, if we dare to dream,” said Gomes. “So, let us dream together – ‘come to the edge, running on the water’ - and enjoy all the seemingly idyllic songs offered.”
