Enhancing Community Security: Upgrades Underway at Lakes on Eldridge Gates
You may have noticed some work being done on each of the gates in Lakes on Eldridge. Learn more about the improvements being made to update security within our community!
Overview Summary
In the interest of updating our security and maintaining the lifespan of our gates, the board has contracted Envera Security to install quick arm gates at each of the entrances.
What’s Going on in the Neighborhood?
You may have noticed some construction has begun at each of the gates in our neighborhood. Envera is helping us upgrade the security in the neighborhood by:
- Installing ‘quick arm gates’ at each of the entrances.
- Taking over the access control for all gates.
- Replacing and modernizing existing access control around the Clubhouse.
- Updating video security at the gates & clubhouse.
- Migrating our outdated clicker-system to use toll tags instead.
Why?
Over the past year (and more), residents have made it very clear that one of their top priorities is the security of our community. These new upgrades to our system will help with:
- Preventing tailgaters from entering the resident-only gates on Ginger Ponds & Heather Run.
- Increase the longevity of our current gates, as they were not designed with modern traffic in mind.
- The mechanical condition of the current gates require frequent repairs, indicating imminent failure. Rebuild/replacement is required.
- Strengthen surveillance of pool and clubhouse.
- Our current clickers, receivers and control system are obsolete and replacement parts are unavailable.
- Optimize our visitor management and logging.
When is this happening?
Construction is already underway with the intent to have everything installed within 6 weeks. After installation, there will be a transition period while we migrate to the new system. Both systems will run during the transition period. We plan to be fully operational with the new system in the first quarter of 2025.
