Energy Capital Credit Union Secures Major Sponsorship for Cy-Hope Fields Sports Campus
Energy Capital Credit Union, a Houston-based local financial institution, is making a significant contribution to local youth sports with a multi-year sponsorship agreement for The Cy-Hope Fields. The sponsorship deal, valued at $2 million dollars, has secured the credit union naming rights for this exciting new sports complex in the Cy-Fair area, according to a recent news release.
Set to be home for Dierker's Champs, the $5 million-dollar state-of-the-art athletic complex will feature three turf baseball fields, LED lighting, a concessions stand, restrooms, batting cages, and paved parking. The Dierker’s Champs program, under the leadership of former Houston Astros All-Star Pitcher, Manager, and Announcer, Larry Dierker since 2010, seeks to instill positive values in youth through the game of baseball.
Larry Dierker conveyed his excitement over the project, stating, "I can only imagine how our kids (and their families) will feel going from the best vacant lots we could find to a state-of-the-art complex".
Energy Capital Credit Union, which serves six counties in Texas, will have brand visibility throughout the complex but most importantly, the sponsorship aims to make a lasting, positive impact on the community. Kanika D. Boutté, President/CEO of Energy Capital Credit Union, describes the sponsorship as a "perfect fit", stating, "As a local financial institution with roots in the Cy-Fair community, we have similar goals as Cy-Hope - we aim to make the lives better for those in our communities."
Cy-Hope is planning to break ground on May 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM, and will complete the civil and utilities elements of the project in July 2024. Remaining construction of the complex is slated to begin shortly thereafter.
The project has also been made possible through a partnership with the Houston Astros Foundation and the expertise of Sportsman Solutions, a rapidly growing sponsorship activation and fundraising firm.
"Making a difference is about collaboration. We are incredibly excited to join forces with Energy Capital Credit Union and the Houston Astros Foundation, whose shared values align seamlessly with our mission," said Dierker.
Sportsman Solutions Vice President, Ryan Patrick, said the Houston-based credit union was a perfect fit given the organization’s commitment to service of all demographics across the six counties they serve.
"This naming rights partnership goes far beyond baseball and will allow Cy-Hope to lean on ECCU who are experts in the space of educating kids on financial literacy and responsible ways of saving," Patrick stated.
