Located at25186 I-45, Spring, TX 77386, the new El Refu Seafood Woodlands/Spring location opened its doors in late October 2025, bringing its signature blend of bold Tex-Mex cuisine and festive ambiance to the heart of the North Houston corridor.
Already known across the Greater Houston area for its colorful, mural-covered buildings and lively atmosphere, El Refu has grown into a local favorite with locations near Willowbrook Mall, in Humble, and in Port Arthur. With its expansion to Spring, the restaurant continues its tradition of serving authentic flavors and memorable experiences to even more Texas diners.

El Refu’s menu is nothing short of a Tex-Mex feast. Diners can start with appetizers like the El Refu Sampler Platter(with nachos, flautas, bacon-wrapped shrimp, cheese dip and more), or indulge in seafood-forward options such as Torre de Mariscos, ceviche, and their signature Pulpo Parrilla Mixta, a grilled octopus dish for two that’s as visually stunning as it is flavorful (page 1 & 5 of the menu).
For main courses, the restaurant offers:
