Early Bird Registration Now Open for Annual Bridgeland Community Fun Run/Walk for Heroes

June 17 2023

The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc. organization is already gearing up for its annual Bridgeland Community Fun Run/Walk for Heroes. Since 2016, the organization has held this event to raise funds to build a $1.5 million veterans memorial in the Bridgeland Community in Cypress, as well as support immediate needs for veterans in the community. Additional use of funds includes hosting events and initiatives like the Veterans Memorial Day, Veterans Day festivals, and Thanksgiving Turkeys for Veterans.

Set for October 21, 2023, participants can save $5 off their entry by taking advantage of Early Bird registration until August 15. The event will once again take place at the Lakeland Village Festival Park in Bridgeland, conveniently located along Grand Parkway in Cypress. The event will include an 8:00 AM 5k walk/ 10k run around Josey Lake and Park and a 9:00 AM children's 1k run around a portion of Bridgeland Lake. Booth vendors, entertainment, and activities for the children will also be available. Strollers and wagons are welcome during the children's walk, while the 5k and 10k are not open to strollers or wagons.
