Precinct 4 Town Hall: Commissioner Lesley Briones and Senator Molly Cook to Host Community Forum in Spring Branch September 10

August 28 2025

Join Commissioner Lesley Briones and State Senator Molly Cook for an important community Town Hall on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. CDT, at the Freed Community Center, located at 6818 Shadyvilla Lane, Houston, TX 77055.

Purpose of the Town Hall

This session is part of the 2025 Precinct 4 Town Hall Series—an extension of Briones’s Listening Tour designed to advance equity, transparency, and public engagement across western Harris County. Residents are invited to hear updates, ask questions, and prioritize their community’s needs in person.

What Attendees Can Expect

Comprehensive Updates Across Key Areas

Gain insights into ongoing and upcoming infrastructure improvements, including roadworks, sidewalk expansions, park enhancements, flood mitigation efforts, and bolstered public safety programs.

State Legislative Overview

Senator Molly Cook will share highlights from the latest Texas legislative session, along with potential impacts to District 15 and Precinct 4—such as redistricting outcomes and fiscal priorities.

Community Resources & Direct Access

Engage with resource tables staffed by local organizations and county departments, offering connections to services in health, emergency preparedness, housing, and more—continuing the approach seen in earlier town halls.

Insight into Fiscal Strategy & Public Input

Learn how Precinct 4 is navigating a projected countywide budget shortfall (with Briones proposing departmental adjustments from 93% to 90% spending) and what that means for local services. Community feedback on budget allocations—such as for flood safety, road maintenance, and sidewalks—will be a central part of the conversation.

Two-Way Dialogue

This is not solely a presentation—attendees will have opportunities to speak with both Commissioner Briones and Senator Cook to share feedback and questions directly.
