Discover the Teacher in the Library Program at Mission Bend Branch Library
Residents of the Lost Creek neighborhood are in for a treat! The Fort Bend County Libraries system is thrilled to bring back the Teacher in the Library program at the Mission Bend Branch Library, which recently began on September 3, 2024. This invaluable service offers FREE homework help for students in grades 3 through 6, providing access to qualified teachers right at the local library, about 14 minutes from Lakemont.
About the Program
The Teacher in the Library program provides after-school assistance from qualified teachers, available Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Students can benefit from:
- Help with completing homework assignments
- Preparation for tests
- Improvement in study habits
- Guidance on using library databases and electronic resources
- Increased confidence in their academic abilities
No appointments are needed, and there is NO COST to participate. Students are welcome to drop in during the tutoring hours at the Mission Bend Branch Library, located at 8421 Addicks Clodine Rd, Houston, TX 77083. For added convenience, the program is also available at the Missouri City Branch Library.
