In the Nottingham area, Greenbelt Park offers residents a peaceful oasis to reconnect with nature close to home. Located at Cobble Springs Dr, Katy, TX 77450 and managed by the Nottingham Country Municipal Utility District, this 44-acre haven boasts an abundance of natural beauty and recreational amenities.

With over 900 trees spanning 17 different varieties, the park creates a serene landscape that makes it perfect for both leisurely strolls and robust runs. The park houses a two-mile trail, punctuated every quarter-mile with markers, thanks to the Eagle Scout project by Benjamin Monk in 2012.

Picnic tables scattered throughout the park provide ample spaces for families to enjoy outdoor meals, while drinking fountains and waste receptacles ensure the area remains clean and comfortable for all visitors. Park benches offer restful spots for those who want to pause and soak up the natural beauty around them.

Owing to the thoughtful planning of the District, the park stays well-lit for early morning and late evening visitors. The trail lights are on timers, turning on at 5:00 a.m., turning off at sunrise, lighting up again at sunset and finally dimming at 10:00 p.m. The street lighting around the park perimeter has also been upgraded to provide a safer environment for everyone.

Per the District's regulations, organized group events with 10 or more participants require a Park Use Agreement. This ensures a coordinated approach to usage, preventing scheduling conflicts and allowing for necessary maintenance. To request such use of Greenbelt Park, please click here for the form.

As part of the District's commitment to public service, continuous improvements are envisioned under the Capital Improvement Plan. This ten-year plan takes into account infrastructure improvements to enhance the user experience at all District operations, including Greenbelt Park.

Greenbelt Park is a testament to Nottingham Country's dedication to community leisure and well-being, providing its residents with a high-quality and accessible outdoor space. Please remember to respect the park rules, care for the public spaces, and enjoy the beauty this District treasure has to offer.
