Discover Connection and Community at the Fussell Senior Citizen Center’s Upcoming Senior Connections Fair
On May 31, 2024, the Fussell Senior Citizen Center in Katy will be hosting a Senior Connections Fair from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This event provides an excellent opportunity for seniors to connect with their community, family, and friends. Conveniently located at 5370 E. 5th Street in Katy, the fair will have an array of vendors on-site offering information on local senior programs, volunteer opportunities, transportation services, and more.
The entry is free, and no prior sign-up or membership is required. For additional details, interested parties can contact the center at 281-391-4837.
The Fussell Senior Citizen Center, open to all seniors aged 55 and up, is more than just a venue for this event. Since its establishment in 2012, the center has been a vital hub for senior citizens in the area, providing them with programs and activities that stimulate their hearts and minds, and encourage a healthy, happy, and independent lifestyle.
Members of this vibrant community have access to a wide range of activities, which include but are not limited to, exercise classes, arts and crafts, social events, healthy living education, and even group bus trips! The center was recognized as Houston’s Best Senior Center in 2017 and 2018 by the Senior Resource Guide’s Annual Reader’s Choice Award.
Those interested in joining the Fussell Senior Center do not need to be residents of Katy and there is no membership fee. Potential members can sign up during business hours at the center.
