Detention Pond Walking Trail
When driving along Colonial Parkway you may have noticed some construction activity at the detention pond across from our subdivision. This is the beginning of a walking trail that MUD 61 is having installed around the pond as shown in the artist rendering below. Work began with the parking lot across from the Christopher Wren entrance to our subdivision. Randy Lusby, the MUD 61 secretary, reported that depending on the weather and timely availability of the required materials construction duration is planned at 4 months.
This is the second phase of its park program which began with the park bordering Mason Road at our Earl of Dunmore entrance and will be an excellent addition to our neighborhood amenities.
