Cypress Woods HS Senior Receives QuestBridge Match Scholarship

January 26 2023

Cypress Woods High School senior Victoria Zhang was recently selected as a 2022 QuestBridge Match Scholarship recipient.

QuestBridge National College Match is a national program that connects high-achieving high school seniors from low socioeconomic backgrounds with full four-year scholarships to one of 48 different QuestBridge partner colleges and universities. Zhang is one of 1,755 seniors from across the nation to receive a Match Scholarship. Zhang matched with Williams College in Massachusetts.

“QuestBridge has opened so many doors for me by granting me the opportunity to attend a top college with a full-ride scholarship, removing the financial burden of higher education,” Zhang said. “I hope my story inspires more low-income and first-generation students to be ambitious towards their future goals because they are never too far out of reach. I want to thank programs like QuestBridge that provide access to higher education for underrepresented groups. I also want to recognize my friends, teachers, mentors and family who have helped me achieve this dream of mine. I am incredibly excited to spend the next four years at Williams College!”

The four-year Match Scholarship is provided by partnering college and universities and covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, room and board, books and supplies and travel expenses.

The 2022 Match Scholarship recipients have an average unweighted GPA of 3.94 and approximately 80% are the first in their families to attend a four-year college or university.

Since 2003, the QuestBridge National College Match program has successfully connected more than 12,000 students with full scholarships at partnering schools.
