
Cypress Woods High School Athletes Commit to College Programs on Spring Signing Day 2025
Cypress Woods High School proudly celebrated Spring Signing Day on February 5, 2025, as eleven student-athletes signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Representing football, baseball, volleyball, track and field, tennis, and soccer, these Wildcats are ready to take their talents to the next stage.
Football Players Sign with Top Programs
Seven football players from Cypress Woods committed to their respective college programs. Ty Cogdill will join the Colorado School of Mines, a top-ranked engineering and applied sciences university in Golden, Colorado, with around 7,000 students. Kyler Singletary signed with Saint Anselm College, a private Catholic liberal arts college in Manchester, New Hampshire, enrolling about 2,000 students. Jason Hemphill committed to the University of Nevada, Reno, a public university serving over 21,000 students.
Bryson McMillan will head to Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, which has an enrollment of approximately 3,500 students. Aiden Whitehead and Brandon Brown both signed with Midwestern State University, a public institution in Wichita Falls, Texas, with around 6,000 students. Lastly, Harris Ranney committed to Angelo State University, a public university in San Angelo, Texas, with an enrollment of over 10,000 students.
Baseball and Volleyball Standouts Make Commitments
Julian Guien, a key player for the Cypress Woods baseball team, signed with Northwestern College in Iowa, a private Christian liberal arts college in Orange City, Iowa, serving around 1,200 students. On the volleyball front, Bailey Gittens committed to Adams State University, a public university in Alamosa, Colorado, with about 3,000 students, while Jaya Rimm signed with Hampton University, a private historically Black university in Hampton, Virginia, enrolling roughly 3,500 students.

Track and Field, Tennis, and Soccer Athletes Sign
Karlie Stegent, a track and field athlete, signed with East Texas Baptist University, a private Christian university in Marshall, Texas, with about 1,500 students. Marlie McArthur, a standout in girls’ tennis, committed to the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, a private Catholic university with approximately 3,500 students. In girls’ soccer, Ava Cantu signed with Angelo State University, while Jessica Sinclair committed to Schreiner University, a private liberal arts university in Kerrville, Texas, with an enrollment of around 1,300 students.
“These athletes have put in the work, and we are beyond proud of what they have achieved,” said Cypress Woods High School’s athletic director. “We look forward to seeing them thrive as they take this next step in their athletic and academic journeys.”
