Cypress Community Seeks Justice: Harris County Sheriff's Office Announces $25,000 Reward in Triple Murder and Arson Case

February 04 2025

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside FBI Houston and Crime Stoppers of Houston, has announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the individuals responsible for the heartbreaking triple murder and arson in Cypress, Texas.

On the morning of August 18, 2024, the Cypress community was shaken by an unimaginable tragedy. Authorities responded to a fire at a home in the 14600 block of Plains River Drive in the Cypress Mill Park neighborhood, only to discover the bodies of Kelly Masciarelli, her son Kolin Foster, and his girlfriend Cameryn Richard. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that the fire had been intentionally set, and all three victims had been murdered. Their deaths have left their family and friends in mourning, with the community seeking answers.

Surveillance Footage Released to Aid Investigation

In an effort to garner new leads, investigators have released surveillance footage that shows a male suspect with a tall, muscular build getting into a black four-door sedan. The car was driven by an unknown individual, and authorities believe that someone in the community may recognize the vehicle or the suspect. The release of the footage is an attempt to bring the case closer to a resolution.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez spoke to the gravity of the situation, stating, “This was a senseless and devastating act of violence that has shattered a family and left our community reeling. We are committed to bringing those responsible to justice and providing some measure of closure to the victim’s loved ones.” The victims’ families, still grappling with their loss, are desperately hoping for answers.

A Community in Mourning

Kolin Foster’s family, along with Kelly Masciarelli and Cameryn Richard’s loved ones, have been left devastated by this senseless crime. The tragedy has not only left a hole in their hearts but also in the hearts of the Cypress community, where many remember the victims fondly. Kolin’s mother, Kelly, and his girlfriend, Cameryn, were known for their warmth and kindness, while Kolin was a young man with a bright future ahead of him. His family, now left without him, is still searching for justice.

In a heartfelt plea, Sheriff Gonzalez urged anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward. “We believe someone in our community may recognize this individual or the vehicle,” he said. “We urge anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward.”
