
Cy Springs, Cy Creek Capture District Titles; Seven CFISD Teams Head to Playoffs
The stage is set for an exciting postseason as Cypress Springs and Cypress Creek High Schools secured their respective district championships, leading seven CFISD teams into the UIL Class 6A boys' basketball playoffs. After a competitive regular season, these teams now turn their focus to the bi-district round, where they will battle for a chance to continue their championship pursuits.
Cy Springs, Cy Creek Dominate District Play
Cypress Springs High School clinched the District 16-6A championship, finishing the season with an impressive 12-2 district record. Hot on their heels, Cypress Lakes and Cypress Ranch High Schools each finished 11-3, while Cypress Woods High School secured a postseason berth with an 8-6 record.
Meanwhile, in District 17-6A, Cypress Creek High School emerged as the district champion with a dominant 13-1 record. Cypress Falls and Cy-Fair High Schools finished tied for second at 11-3, while Stratford High School of Spring ISD rounded out the playoff qualifiers with an 8-6 record.

Bi-District Playoff Matchups Set for Feb. 18
With the UIL Region II and Region III-6A playoffs beginning on Feb. 18, all seven CFISD teams will face formidable opponents in the opening round.
