Cy-Hope Opens New Location in Waller to Expand Reach for Waller ISD Students and Families

May 30 2024

Yesterday, Cy-Hope, a non-profit organization originally established in CFISD with a mission to make life better for kids, opened its latest location in Waller. The grand opening was celebrated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the new address, 1201 A Street, Waller, TX 77434.

The expansion of Cy-Hope signifies the organization's steadfast dedication to extend its community service mission beyond its original boundaries. The new Waller location will deliver a comprehensive range of services designed to support the welfare and development of Waller ISD students and their families.

Among the key services provided at this location include a Feeding Program for Waller ISD students. As part of their mission to tackle food insecurity, Cy-Hope, in collaboration with the Houston Food Bank, will deliver supplemental food through its backpack feeding program. The aim is to ensure every student has access to the nourishment they need outside their school environment.

The new campus will also house a Counseling Center, delivering professional mental health services with flexible pricing options. Understanding the importance of accessible mental health support, Cy-Hope is committed to making these necessary services available to individuals and families at affordable rates.

Additionally, an after-school Hope Center will be part of the new facility, serving as a safe space for students after school hours. The Hope Center will provide a safe haven for children to socialize, partake in enriching activities, and receive guidance from caring mentors. In essence, the center aims to serve as a hub for positive social interaction and personal growth for Waller's youth.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured local dignitaries, community members, and representatives from Cy-Hope. Attendees had the chance to tour the new facility, understand more about Cy-Hope's programs and services, and celebrate the organization's unwavering commitment to influencing positive change in the lives of Waller residents.

Cy-Hope's Executive Director, Lynda Dierker, highlighted the importance of the expansion, "Through Cy-Hope's expansion into Waller, we're extending our commitment to making life better for kids beyond Cy-Fair ISD. Our new Hope Center, Backpack Feeding Program, and Counseling Center represent a tangible investment in the future of underserved students in Waller ISD."

Dierker acknowledged the vital partnerships and community support that made this possible, stating, "With partnerships like the Houston Food Bank, Tomball Regional Health Foundation, Grace Global Church, the support of community leaders like Mayor Danny Marburger, and Judge Trey Duhon, we’re excited to bring hope and opportunity to this deserving community. Together, we're empowering students with the tools they need to thrive academically, emotionally, and professionally, ensuring that every child has the chance to reach their full potential with hope for a brighter future."
