Cy-Fair ISD Volleyball Players Earn All-District Honors in District 17-6A

Several standout volleyball players from Cy-Fair ISD were recently named to the All-District 17-6A teams following the conclusion of the 2024 season. District coaches selected the top athletes in recognition of their outstanding performances throughout the season.

Among the honorees, Cy-Fair High School senior Arianna Muoneke was named Outstanding Hitter, while Cypress Creek High School senior Jaeda Rawls-Fletcher was recognized as Outstanding Blocker. In addition, Memorial High School had two players honored, with Ella Ross earning the title of Outstanding Setter and Kassia Tan named Outstanding Defensive Specialist.

Stratford High School also had a strong showing, with Audrey Cook and Gwen Koss being named Co-Most Valuable Players. Tess Stephenson from Stratford was named Newcomer of the Year.

First Team All-District 17-6A

The Cy-Fair High School volleyball program earned multiple spots on the First Team with Anna Solis, Ashley Johnson, and Kaylee Williams named to the roster. Cypress Creek High School’s Devyn Wilkes, Cypress Falls’ Haley Buchanan, and Cypress Ridge’s Jolie Jones and Wendy Shada were also selected for First Team honors. Jersey Village players Elianna Freeman, Sofi Novak, and Brandi Johnson rounded out the First Team selections.

Second Team All-District 17-6A

Cy-Fair High School earned additional recognition on the Second Team with Pearson Noone, Sofia Williams, and Amaiya Lyles all named to the roster. Cypress Creek’s Sydney Martin and Cypress Falls’ Kylee Shiery were also included. Cypress Ridge’s Dercy Mercado and Jersey Village players Claire Bezanilla, Aubrey Peters, and Bella Spjut were also selected for Second Team honors.

Honorable Mention All-District 17-6A

Several athletes from Cy-Fair ISD received Honorable Mention for their strong play during the season. Cora Miller and Ella Hawley from Cy-Fair were named, along with Alex Olson and Shelby Brown from Cypress Creek. Cypress Falls players Tyler Sharrett and Peyton Blackwell-Spangler were also honored. From Cypress Ridge, Jasmine Gambol and Jessica Tyson earned Honorable Mention, while Vivianne Diedrich and Evelyn Gomez from Jersey Village were also recognized.

Strong Season for Cy-Fair ISD Volleyball

This year’s All-District 17-6A honors highlight the exceptional skill and talent among Cy-Fair ISD volleyball players. The athletes selected represent the top performers from a highly competitive district, and these honors recognize their hard work throughout the season.

The Cy-Fair ISD volleyball teams will continue to build on this success, with many of the players already preparing for future opportunities. These selections mark a significant achievement for the district’s volleyball programs, which continue to produce skilled athletes at both the high school and collegiate levels.
