Cy-Fair CERT Spring Class Registration Now Open
Are you interested in becoming a prepared citizen, ready to tackle emergencies head-on? Registration is now open for the 8-week Cy-Fair CERT training course this spring. This free course offers valuable insights and practical skills in Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety, Medical, Search & Rescue, Psychology, Terrorism, and Hazard Planning. The class does not just present lectures and practical applications but encourages active dialogue and questions.
The training program will commence on March 19, with classes held every Tuesday night from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. through to May 14. The Cy-Fair Emergency Services Education Center, located at 18132 West Road Cypress, TX 77433, will host these informative sessions.
Since its establishment in 2007, Cy-Fair CERT, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been steadfast in its mission of promoting emergency preparedness within the community. Funded through grants and donations, the organization offers free CERT training classes and keeps disaster relief supplies at the ready. It boasts two Neighborhood S.A.F.E. storage units and a Mobile Emergency Response Trailer located in the Copperfield and Fairfield areas.
Cy-Fair CERT training covers topics such as Animal Response, CPR/First Aid, and HAM Radio. The team actively participates in community events and partnerships with organizations like the American Red Cross and Medical Reserve Corps.
