Craft Beer Supporting Homeless Animals Makes Its Debut in H-E-B

September 08 2023

“My Own Best Friend” craft beer benefitting the Houston SPCA has just poured into 84 locations around the greater Houston area including H-E-B food stores, restaurants and bars as well as specialty outlets from Conroe to Missouri City and many locations in between.

This new brew was first crafted and sold at the local brewery last fall. This second release now includes retail, grocery and specialties as well.

The adult beverage is a raspberry and cherry Kölsch-style of beer that is fermented in ale yeast, finished in cold temperatures like a lager and is fruity, bright and clear. The original artwork is a wrapped 12-ounce can with bold hues and includes the Houston SPCA logo on the side of the can.

It took several weeks from brewing to packaging, to produce the craft beer exclusively for Houston SPCA.

The animal rescue and protection organization will receive $1 for each pint and six-pack of the exclusive craft beer sold at Eureka Heights Brewery; $1 for every six-pack purchased at one of 39 H-E-B locations and $1 for each pint sold at 45 various restaurants, bars and specialties including Skeeters at 5529 Weslayan; Kirby Icehouse at 3333 Eastside Street and Creekwood Grill at 12710 Telge Road. A full list of locations of where the exclusive beer is sold can be found here.
