Copperfield Dolphins Wrap 2025 Season with Record-Breaking Swims and Community Spirit
In a season that flew by faster than a 50-yard freestyle, the Copperfield Dolphins Swim Team has officially wrapped up their 2025 summer swim season — and they did so with a splash. From early morning meets to record-breaking performances, this year’s team didn’t just swim, they soared.
The Dolphins celebrated the end of their fast-paced 10-week season with their annual awards party on Wednesday, June 18, at Park Falls Park. Families gathered with picnic dinners and lawn chairs in hand, while the team board sweetened the evening with desserts. Swimmers were recognized in a ceremony by the pool gate area before diving into a well-earned pool party celebration.
Building Swimmers and Character
Founded to promote strong swim skills and good sportsmanship, the Copperfield Dolphins are a neighborhood-based summer league team affiliated with the Northwest Aquatic League (NWAL). The season typically begins with practices in mid-April and culminates in late June with competitive meets and an optional invitationals season.
Swimmers ages 4 to 18 focus not just on speed, but on the fundamentals of competitive swimming: stroke technique, starts and turns, and personal time improvements. Every swimmer gets their times published — a motivator that fuels personal growth as much as podium finishes.

Each summer includes:
- A required Time Trials meet to get every swimmer an official seed time
- Five Saturday dual meets against other NWAL teams
- The high-stakes Divisionals meet, where team standings are officially determined
- Optional mid-season and end-of-season invitationals for qualifying swimmers
“We aim to help swimmers grow as athletes, teammates, and young people,” said a team representative. “And we always want them to have fun while doing it.”
