Converse Families Invited to Free Field & Art Day at North Park Pavilion on March 7
For many Converse families, North Park is more than just green space — it’s where birthday parties are held, soccer balls are chased, and neighbors catch up under the pavilion.
On Saturday, March 7, 2026, that familiar space will feel even more alive as the City of Converse Parks and Recreation Department hosts its annual Field & Art Day from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at North Park Pavilion, 8200 Spring Town St.
This isn’t just another event on the calendar. It’s a reminder of what makes Converse feel connected — families showing up, kids laughing together, and local organizations investing back into the people they serve.
A Morning Designed With Families in Mind
Field & Art Day brings together high-energy fun and creative play, making it easy for siblings of different ages to all find something they enjoy.
Children can race through a 73-foot inflatable obstacle course, test their aim at a 6-foot inflatable soccer and dart board, or slow things down with arts and crafts for all ages. At 10:00 a.m., the Converse Library will host story time, offering a quieter moment in the middle of the morning’s excitement.
The Converse Police Department will also provide fingerprinting services — a practical offering that also strengthens positive relationships between officers and local families.
And for early arrivals, there’s a small but memorable perk: the first 150 kids will receive a free McDonald’s Happy Meal toy.
