Constables Respond to 1,292 Calls in Hearthstone During May 2025

Harris County Precinct 5 constables logged 1,292 total calls for service in Hearthstone during May 2025, an increase from the 1,220 calls recorded in April. The latest report captures a variety of incident types including citizen reports, proactive checks, disturbances, and minor property crimes.

Contract checks made up the largest portion of activity, with more than 1,100 entries recorded.

Notable Changes from April

  • Traffic stops increased from 10 in April to 18 in May.

  • Suspicious persons reports rose from 2 to 6.

  • Park and school checks also saw a rise, with 23 and 7 incidents respectively compared to 18 and 5 the previous month.

  • Fraud/forgery was reported once, which did not appear in the April report.

No major violent crimes or patterns of repeat property crime were reported. One burglary of a motor vehicle and two general thefts were logged. Solicitor complaints and welfare checks remained consistent with April figures.

Community Contact and Visibility

The report shows continued interaction between deputies and residents through entries such as “Meet the Citizen” calls (10) and welfare checks (5). These figures, alongside consistent “Silver Watch” activity and school/park patrols, show that residents are initiating contact when they have concerns.

Looking Ahead

The constable’s office remains active in monitoring neighborhood activity and responding to concerns as summer begins. Contract patrols remain the dominant method of officer presence in the community.
