Constable Deputies Deployed Throughout the Tomball School District
Over the past few months, Constable Mark Herman’s office has trained at his training academy, Constable deputies, in both Student Resource Officer training and Active Shooter training.
This training was in preparation to the permanent assignment of Constable deputies to the Tomball Independent School District. The Precinct 4 Constable’s office is currently partnering with the Tomball Police Department and providing police protection to the school district.
In addition, the Constable’s office has deployed additional resources and personnel to the district, and more will be added for the upcoming school year. This past week, K-9 “ Mattress Mack “ and his handler Deputy George Henson visited many of the schools. K-9 “ Mattress Mack “ is certified in both bomb/ gun detection and patrol.
“One of our goals, is to foster positive relationships among law enforcement, educators, and youth; and helping to promote a positive school climate," said Constable Mark Herman.
