Community Favorite Brooks' Place BBQ Returns to Its Roots in Cypress

August 21 2024

After bidding farewell to its old location and settling in at The Wildcatter Saloon in Katy, the beloved Brooks' Place BBQ is making a highly anticipated return to its roots in Cypress. The return to their home community is scheduled for Thursday, August 22 at 11:00 AM at a new location at 8102 Fry Road, Cypress, TX 77433, on the corner of Fry Road and Longenbaugh in the Chevron parking lot.

Over the past 15 years, Brooks' Place BBQ has earned a name for itself for its exceptional BBQ, consistently drawing regulars and new patrons enticed by the irresistible aroma of their smoker. Starting as just a modest trailer in front of Langham Creek Ace Hardware, with a few picnic tables set up for visitors, Brooks' Place BBQ impressed its patrons with a simple experience where the delicious food took center stage. The same high-quality, mouth-watering BBQ will be available at the new location in Cypress.

This family-run establishment has been committed to serving meticulously smoked, top quality meats since 2009. The recipes, techniques, and commitment to traditional barbecue have been passed down to Trent Brooks, the current owner and operator, by his father. Brooks' Place BBQ is best known for its beef ribs, pork belly burnt ends, burgers, chicken sandwiches, and loaded baked potatoes. Accompanying their meats, they also serve freshly prepared sides including baked beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and coleslaw. The menu is topped off with homemade desserts, featuring the likes of blackberry and peach cobblers.

However, Brooks' Place BBQ is not just a place to relish tasty food. It is a venue fostering connections and creating shared experiences. They offer a unique "Group Therapy" on Fridays for patrons to relish their BBQ while engaging in meaningful conversations. They also host a community gathering every Sunday at 9:00 AM called "The Closet at Brooks' Place", which serves as a communal space for prayer and spiritual connection.

Despite the change in location, Brooks' Place BBQ has maintained its commitment to the community and its craft. They are set to continue serving their range of well-loved BBQ dishes and desserts at the new location. Mark your calendars and get your appetite ready for a visit while welcoming them back to Cypress.
