Don't Mess with Texas invites community members to take part in the highly anticipated Trash-Off Recycling Event on April 5. This annual event, part of the Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off, is designed to help reduce waste and keep recyclable materials out of local landfills. Organized by Keep Katy Beautiful (KKB), a key initiative of the City of Katy, the event aligns with the Great American Clean-Up.

• Electronics: TVs, laptops, printers, cell phones, and more
• Paper: All paper (excluding cardboard)
• Scrap Metal & Appliances: Refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, and more
• Plastic Bags: Clean and free of debris
• Textiles: Shoes, clothing, household linens, and stuffed toys
• Eyeglasses: Prescription glasses and sunglasses for recycling via the Katy Lions Club

• Cardboard
• Plastic bottles
• Hazardous waste (including paint and motor oil)
