City of Katy Issues Update on Residential Storm Debris Pick Up
July 11 2024
City of Katy is preparing for debris removal following Hurricane Beryl. Here's a summary of the guidelines you should follow for preparing your debris:
- Debris Preparation: Separate vegetative debris (like tree branches and leaves) from fence debris (such as damaged fencing).
- Placement: Place the separated debris out by the curb. Please ensure it is away from obstacles such as fire hydrants and mailboxes to facilitate easier collection.
- Accessibility: Do not block ingress/egress points, public walkways, or drainage outlets with debris. This is crucial for safety and access reasons.
- Start Date: The official start date for debris removal will be announced soon by the City of Katy. Keep an eye out for updates on when the collection will begin.
Following these guidelines will help ensure a smooth and efficient debris removal process for everyone in the community. If you have any further questions or need additional information, please email publicworksinfo@cityofkaty.com.
