City of Fulshear Approves Fiscal Year 2025 Tax Rate and Budget
During the September 17 City Council meeting, the Mayor and Council members unanimously approved a tax rate of $0.161856 per $100 assessed valuation for the upcoming 2025 Fiscal Year, which starts October 1.
During the meeting, the Mayor and Council also unanimously approved the 2025 Fiscal Year budget. The total proposed general fund budget is approximately $18 million and the entire budget for all funds is approximately $124 million. The adopted budget includes new positions, capital purchases, street improvement and maintenance projects, expanded programs/services, and much more.
Some highlights of the upcoming budget year include:
- Continuation of the step pay plan
- Addition of 12 new full-time positions and one part -time
- Downtown Area Capital Improvement Projects
- Water Infrastructure Improvements
- Citywide Branding Implementation
Additionally, the approved budget will allow the City to remain fluid in paying off debt, while maintaining healthy reserves.
