Checkers® Opens on Jones Road Near FM 1960 with Five Days of Grand Opening Giveaways
Fast food lovers in Northwest Houston have a new destination to satisfy their cravings. Checkers® has officially opened its newest location at 10855 Jones Road, near the intersection of FM 1960, and it's kicking things off in a big way—with five straight days of giveaways, prizes, and signature flavor-packed menu items that the chain is known for nationwide.
The latest Checkers location marks the brand’s continued expansion in Texas, offering Houstonians a taste of its bold, indulgent fast food menu that includes iconic items like the Big Buford®, Triple Baconzilla!®, Smoky BBQ Bacon Buford, and the crave-worthy Famous Seasoned Fries. Chicken fans can enjoy the Classic Mother Cruncher® and Buffalo Fry-Seasoned Tenders, while seafood lovers may want to try the Deep Sea Double®.
The location officially opened on Tuesday, June 24, with a special fry-lovers giveaway: the first 25 drive-thru guests received free fries for a year (in the form of 52 small fry coupons). But the excitement doesn’t end there—Checkers is running a new promotion each day through Saturday, June 28, exclusively for drive-thru guests while supplies last.

Wednesday, June 25: First 50 drive-thru customers who purchase a combo will receive a free Checkers hat and a combo meal card for their next visit.

Thursday, June 26: The first 25 guests who show their loyalty number in the app at the drive-thru get a $25 coupon—no purchase necessary.

Friday, June 27: Enter to win a brand new 70” smart TV between 10 a.m. and noon—winner contacted at 12:15 p.m.

Saturday, June 28: Fans can enter to win two tickets to a Houston Texans game during the same 10 a.m. to noon window—winner announced shortly after.
All promotions are limited to drive-thru guests only, with one prize per car. No purchase is required to enter Friday and Saturday’s drawings.

Checkers, along with its sister brand Rally’s, has earned national recognition for its double drive-thru format, value-driven combos, and flavor-forward menu. Though Checkers and Rally’s maintain separate branding in different regions, they serve the exact same menu, backed by the same suppliers and supported through the Restaurant Support Center in Tampa, Florida.
