CFISD Police Department Hiring Officers
The Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Police Department is hiring several positions to join the ranks of the men and women who serve and protect students, staff and property of the District. Formed in 2012, the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Police Department aims to provide a safe learning environment where the safety of students, faculty, support staff, and property is protected within carefully prescribed policy, ethical, statutory, and constitutional restrictions.
With approximately 111 police officers and 36 support services personnel, the CFISD Police Department serves the third largest school district in the State of Texas, supporting over 17,000 part-time and full-time employees across 117 campuses, buildings and support facilities, all within 187 square miles of Northwest Harris County. All CFISD Police Officers are TCOLE certified and have the authority, rights, and privileges of any licensed state peace officer.
To qualify, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, hold a High School Diploma or certified GED, have a valid Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and meet all TCOLE requirements for initial licensure. Some benefits include up to four weeks of paid vacation, field training officer pay, all equipment provided, and more.
In additional to regular duties, CFISD Police officers also have the opportunity to give back to the community and help change the lives of children through everyday interactions and programs such as the junior police academy, police explorers, and the police athletic league.
