CFISD Names Kimberly Harthorn as New Principal for Francone Elementary School
Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District (CFISD) has announced that Kimberly Harthorn will serve as the new principal of Francone Elementary School, effective Feb. 27. Harthorn, who has dedicated 25 years to education, all within CFISD, steps into the role following the appointment of Melissa Martin as the district’s assistant superintendent of elementary curriculum and instruction.
Harthorn’s career in education began as a math and science teacher at Hamilton Elementary School, later transitioning to Gleason Elementary School and subsequently Frazier Elementary School as a math instructor. In 2007, she advanced to a leadership role as a math and science instructional specialist at Lee Elementary School, where she also took on responsibilities as a science teacher from 2011-2014.
