CFISD High School Basketball Standouts Earn Postseason Honors

Eleven CFISD student-athletes representing eight high schools earned all-state and all-region accolades for the 2022-2023 season by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA). 

Cypress Falls High School senior Joseph Tugler was named to the TABC Class 6A All-State team in addition to earning all-region honors. Joining Tugler on the All-Region II team was Cypress Springs High School junior Stoney Hadnot. Cypress Creek High School senior Corey Hadnotwas named to the All-Region III team. 

Cypress Falls High School senior Joseph Tugler earned Class 6A all-state and all-region honors by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. 
 

On the girls’ side, Cypress Springs High School sophomore Ayla McDowell was named to the TABC Class 6A All-State team. She also earned All-Region II honors alongside Cypress Lakes High School junior Aniah Alexis, Cypress Ranch senior Chelsy Singleton, and Langham Creek High School junior Heather Baymon. Cypress Creek senior Amari Chambers and Cypress Ridge High School Olivia Shook were named to the All-Region III team. 

Cypress Lakes High School junior Aniah Alexis earned Class 6A all-state honors by the Texas Girls Coaches Association and was named to the Class 6A All-Region II team by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. 
 
Alexis, Baymon, Chambers, McDowell, Singleton, Shook, Cypress Ridge senior Scejeonna Anderson and Jersey Village High School seniorJa’Nya Thomas were named to the TGCA Class 6A All-State team.
